Having read a lot about the Steyr LG100 I finally got a chance to shoot one, courtesy of Ian Forsyth. Ian is a newcomer to Scottish FT and his Steyr is probably the first to make it over the border in Scotland.

Whilst I shot his Steyr, Ian shot my Pro Target the verdict being that both are very nice rifles - but that the Steyr stock could be improved if it were to be fitted with a butt hook.

Ian commissioned FT Designs to design and fit a butt hook for his Steyr which had to be lightweight, easily removable and look as if it were part of the standard stock. The photo shows the rear section of his Steyr stock, complete with new butt hook.
